What You Will Learn

You will become thoroughly versed in the art and science of laser hair removal, gaining a fundamental understanding of both laser and intense pulsed light (IPL) technology, including how each targets melanin in the hair follicle to disable growth at the root. Most importantly, you will receive clinical, hands on training with advanced, state of the art equipment, and you will perform laser hair removal on scheduled clients once you are ready, building real world confidence under close supervision.

Course Details

This is a comprehensive three day laser hair removal and facial rejuvenation course that teaches you all you need to know about the skin, the depth of pigmentation and vascular lesions, and the safe and effective application of laser and IPL. You gain two valuable skill sets in one program, since the facial rejuvenation component lets you offer skin treatments alongside hair removal from day one. Alongside the treatment skills, it also covers advertising, insurance, safety measures, skin penetration and sterilisation precautions, pricing, aftercare, contraindications and how to partner with other professionals in the industry.

The training is delivered through interactive modules combining clear teaching, presentations, extensive workbooks and examinations tailored to different levels of practice, so nurses, therapists and beginners are each assessed appropriately. It is delivered in person at the Merrylands clinic in Sydney or interstate, as ATSCI trains Australia wide, and all students find their own models, with model sourcing available for a small fee. Models

Each student is required to work on a minimum of 8  to 10 live models.

Certification

Upon successfully completing theory exam, practical assessment & the laser tattoo removal training, you will be awarded 3 CERTIFICATES OF COMPETENCE, NOT CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDENCE.

  2. A Laser hair removal application competency certificate
  3. Laser facial rejuvenation competency certificate.

Which means you have demonstrated evidence of safe and effective laser tattoo removal treatments.

All courses are competency based meaning upon completion of your training, you will qualify to practice Australia wide (except laser tattoo removal in WA restricted to doctors only) after successfully passing all theory exam and practical assessments.
