Customised Cosmetic Tattoo Refresher Course

Training & Certification - Cosmetic Tattoo Refresher Course in Sydney

The Cosmetic Tattoo Refresher Course in Sydney at ATSCI is designed for therapists who are already qualified but feel they never received the right training, or who want a much stronger understanding of colour theory, technique and skin undertones. It is also ideal for practitioners who trained in Australia or overseas and now want their skills brought up to a confident, reliable standard here.

Delivered one on one and in person by founder Amanda Bishay, this course fills the exact gaps where you do not feel confident from your previous learning. Amanda hears the same story time and again, from practitioners who invested a great deal of money elsewhere yet came away feeling they had not learnt enough. With over 20 years of experience and more than 12 years running her own clinic, she helps you rebuild your confidence so you know exactly what you are doing and why.

Lip Blend & Full Lip Colour Course

What You Will Learn

The heart of this course is colour theory in the application of microblading and cosmetic tattoo, and how to prevent the unwanted colour changes that cause so much heartache. You will learn what actually makes colours shift over time, and how to both avoid and correct those changes, so you can approach every client with certainty rather than guesswork.

Amanda also helps you understand how healed results differ from fresh work, why pigment choice must be matched to the client rather than copied from another treatment, and how small adjustments in depth, pressure and saturation can make a major difference to long term colour stability.

The training targets the precise areas where practitioners most often struggle, then connects those topics back to real client examples so the information is easier to understand and apply in clinic:

  • How to prevent brown eyebrows turning pink or mauve
  • How to stop black eyeliner or lip liner turning blue
  • Reading skin undertones for reliable, predictable colour outcomes
  • Improving pigment penetration and colour retention
  • Refining your technique to achieve consistent, professional results

Who This Course Is For

This course is best suited to qualified therapists who have completed training elsewhere but feel unsure, as well as those returning to cosmetic tattoo after a break and wanting to refresh their skills. If you have ever finished a course feeling you spent a lot but learnt too little, this is designed specifically for you. It is also valuable if you are seeing inconsistent healed results, feeling nervous about corrective work, or wanting a clear second opinion on how to improve your current technique.

It also suits practitioners who have moved to Australia and want their existing overseas skills understood, assessed and strengthened. Because the training is entirely one on one, it adapts to whatever level you are at, so your time is spent only on what will genuinely move you forward.

Course Details

Before your training begins, you complete a questionnaire so Amanda can understand exactly which subjects need the most attention, whether that is penetration, colour retention or technique. This means the course is genuinely customised from the very start, and no time is wasted revisiting skills you have already mastered. The questionnaire also gives Amanda a clearer picture of your previous training, the services you currently offer and the situations that make you feel least confident, so your practical session can be focused, relevant and immediately useful.

Depending on how much needs to be covered, the course may run over two days. All training is delivered in person and one on one, either at the Merrylands clinic in Sydney or interstate, since ATSCI trains Australia wide. Students find their own models, with model sourcing available for a small fee if you are travelling to Sydney to train. During the practical component, Amanda observes your existing habits closely and gives direct feedback on the small changes that can improve control, comfort, pigment placement and healed outcomes.

Why Train With ATSCI?

This is real, clinic based mentoring from a founder who has trained hundreds of students and continues to run her own successful clinic. Rather than teaching you to be a walking textbook following steps one, two and three, Amanda teaches you to understand each case so you can think through it and avoid the mistakes that damage both results and reputation.

The goal is to help you make better decisions independently, so when a client presents with old pigment, difficult undertones or uneven previous work, you know how to assess the situation properly before touching the skin. Because the training is competency based, you leave when you genuinely know your craft, not simply when a timetable ends.

You also gain ongoing mentorship and support, with Amanda available long after your training through email, phone and messages to help you stay confident and on track as your work grows. This support is especially helpful after you return to your own clinic and begin applying new colour knowledge, correction planning and refined technique with real clients.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. It is designed for practitioners who trained in Australia or overseas and want to strengthen their skills, correct bad habits and build confidence in colour and technique here.

You complete a questionnaire beforehand so Amanda can focus the training on your specific gaps, whether that is colour theory, penetration, retention or technique, rather than repeating what you already know.

It depends on how much needs to be covered for you personally, and in some cases the training may run over two days to ensure everything is addressed properly.
